STEVE WYNN: 'In my 45 years of experience, I've never seen anything like this before'

They ran to Macau when the downturn happened here....now with China in trouble they are all wishing they had simply stayed put or at least not pushed so many chips that way.  MGM with all the inventory must be looking good in Vegas.  Gamblers have changed, but the games in Casinos have not.  Fan Duel and Draft Kings are capitalizing big time and just this week it became illegal in Nevada to play either of those online draft games.  I would love any of my business players in Vegas to comment, but I think Vegas is doing OK, but with the game changing in any business you must adapt or die.  Macau has the communist to deal with too.  I just returned from Vegas, attending #IMEX15, a global production and exhibit for the meetings and event industry brass.  10,500+ participants and everyone there focused on business.  Vegas was smart many years ago to diversify into the business of meetings and events, just as Disney reluctantly did years ago in Orlando.  Meetings are good for business and a quick scan of the #IMEX15 twitter feed and "Macau" was largely missing from the buzz.  Can we say opportunity?  Might be time to start repping Macau as the next global meeting destination.
