Relationships Matter

Another amazing partnership story! My customer who does 12-15 meetings a year with us had a contract for the Westin in Dallas. 4 weeks out, hotel announces $30M renovation and our dates are impacted. First time we ever hear of renovation. And Westin washes hands and says, sorry, but we have the Intercon Dallas with space and everything you need...here is your contact at the Intercon, 100k Starwood points and good luck!
We were like, say what?
So we scrambled into action only to find out during a quick last minute site of the Intercon that they don't have ANY of our setup time. A full day of setup not available. Westin, they don't wanna be brought back into situation despite the fact we are holding an agreement with them with ALL setup time clear.
So we scrambled to find alternate with fast sourcing of ENTIRE market.
Jenny Muzik, Director Sales of the Omni Fort Worth and Julie Gorman of the Fort Worth CVB were absolutely amazing. Yes they had the space and wanted that last minute opportunity, but they bent over backwards to provide both a great hotel and destination incentives for my client to make the move easy in such a short stressful time. They also rolled out the red carpet for a last minute site inspection- got extremely aggressive with contract terms and the deal was signed!
This display of partnership between Omni, Fort Worth and HPN Global spoke volumes and really solidified in my eyes and the customers why they do business with us. HPN Global showed some power to respond quickly activating a partnership and saved the day.
Nothing better than leveraging the HPN Global network to help a client!

I was really amazed by this partnership. Indeed, relationships matter. And thank you for sharing this to us. It gives us an idea how to value more relationships to come up with a stronger foundation when it comes to business. I know there are really cases where unexpected renovations and last minute no availability happens, that’s why it’s really good to have an alternative source to run to. And I’m so glad to be able to know that someone out there is up to save the day. Keep that relationship stronger.
