Hotel Social Media Marketing Campaign Case Study

We had been watching trends moving in social media and knew marketing hotels was moving to a more authentic, real and social environment. We also knew that we needed a viral expansion component. We know kids drive buying decisions for everything from toys to cereal and wondered why not vacations.

While monitoring one of our clients brand online when we stumbled upon some YouTube videos of a father and son having a great time at the resort. The discovery of the videos inspired the idea to promote the largest Marriott in the world through the eyes of a young boy on vacation with his father on all social media channels as possible.

Soon more videos were created and the legend of the Gorman Getaways took off. The concept now developed and proven is part of a larger concept expected to promote kid friendly resort hotels and destinations around the USA.
