American companies top the list, indeed dominate, Fortune Magazine’s annual ranking of the world’s 50 most admired companies. The top 13 companies on the list are U.S. firms, as are 43 of the overall 50. Many of the firms have a vast overseas presence; all are a testament to the power of the U.S. to nurture the best companies in the world.
