QUESTION:
How do we get our business to pop up - for unique searches, for our specific niches? Is there any SEO strategies we can easily benefit from to drive people to find our business on the internet?
RESPONSE:
The process is not as complex as it sounds, but it certainly requires experience and an investment in time and resources.
- Keyword research
- Develop Optimized Site Map
- Lay site map on optimized template (a website platform that is coded according to search engine guidelines. Not all templates are optimized such as Word Press and other free websites)
- Write relevant copy on each page developed that brings together the keywords, page title, descriptions
When we work with clients, we speak on these terms. How much revenue are you projecting to make in 12 months. Take a percentage of that revenue and apply it to internet marketing. As I said, it is certainly an investment in the business as with any marketing initiative, but it is the most efficient and track-able.
If a business generates $500 in a transaction (I am making this up), then how much would they spend in marketing to attract a lead? The goal then would be to build a website that attracts leads every month in a short amount of time to justify the investment and begin generating return.
Once the site is up and running we track traffic each day and month. It then becomes the focus to convert the traffic. For each partner a conversion is defined differently. For a hotel it is a reservation sold online through the booking engine, for a golf course attracting weddings is a RFP request, for a car dealer an offer on a vehicle. We believe strongly that this is where social media really helps. When a visitor sees that a company or organization is active on the social networks in a real and authentic way, they are more inclined to request additional information or convert.
This is how Your Brand Voice thinks it works and it really isn't as complex as it sounds.
Make sense? :)
If not, give me a call for more information.

"Not all templates are optimized such as Word Press and other free websites."...can you describe this in greater detail? How is a template optimized? What are the major differences between a free (or less expensive) non-optimized site and the optimized templates you offer? Thnx
Paul, chances are if you are using a free template you are problem not doing the research. If you do the research you probably are not adding it to the code properly. It is my experience that most joomla, wordpress type sites lack the research and or the properly site development to capture the organic inbound searches. Also, another point to consider, most free templates have long inefficient code as a result of many sources of free widgets that make up the pages. When you code a website for the ground up, not only is the code efficient, but the search spiders love it. They get in, capture the research embedded in the code and results become predictable. Once we see traffic flowing, we shift our focus to capture or conversion and people who build free websites typically build and forget. We don't, we track inbound opportunities or leads to ensure our research is driving quality traffic.
